Have you heard the news? JUST Egg has been recognized for product innovation with two recent, major accolades!Listed among  The 10 Smartest Sustainable Products of 2018, TIME recognized Just Egg from an environmentally-friendly angle:

The animal agriculture industry is responsible for around 15% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to a U.N. estimate, thanks to the immense resources required to raise and feed animals. The JUST Egg cuts down on those emissions with a vegan egg replacement product made from a plant called mung bean. Cooked right, it tastes pretty close to the real thing. Justin Worland/TIME


Popular Science’s 2018 Best of What’s New included Just Egg in its Engineering category, with a focus on the product’s mung bean base ingredient:

Just Egg—a pour-and-cook, plant-based substitute—looks and tastes a lot like the real thing and has a 39-percent-smaller carbon footprint. The key ingredient is mung bean protein, which food scientists chose because its chemistry suggested it would cook much like the same component in eggs. –Sherry Heck/JUST
